CoreStyl (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the CoreStyl mobile application (the “App”), an AI-powered personal styling service for users in India. For the purposes of applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we act as the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data we process about you.

This Policy applies to personal data we process when you use the App. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that the App may link to, which have their own privacy policies.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account information — such as your name, email address, phone number, and login credentials.
• Photographs you upload — selfie and full-body images you choose to provide for styling analysis.
• Derived styling attributes — information our AI estimates from your photos, such as body shape, used to build your styling profile.
• Profile & preferences — style preferences, saved results, and any details you add to your profile.
• Transaction information — records of Style Credit purchases. Card and payment details are handled directly by our third-party payment gateway and are not stored by us.
• Usage & device information — app activity, device type, operating system, and similar technical data, used to operate and improve the App.

We use your personal data to:

• provide AI styling analysis and personalised suggestions;
• create and manage your account and profile;
• process your Style Credit purchases;
• operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App;
• respond to your queries, requests, and grievances; and
• comply with our legal obligations.

Photographs are among the most sensitive information you share with us, and we treat them with particular care.

When you upload a photo, our AI processes it to estimate styling attributes such as body shape. We process your photos only with your specific, informed consent, given at the point of upload, and only for the purpose of generating your styling analysis and suggestions.

We do not retain your raw uploaded images beyond the analysis session unless you choose to save the results to your profile. We do not use your photographs to train or develop our AI models, and we do not sell your photographs or share them with advertisers. You can delete saved results or your photos at any time from within the App.

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you provide when you create an account and use specific features, and, where applicable, for legitimate uses permitted under law (such as complying with legal obligations). Your consent is given through a clear, affirmative action, and you may withdraw it at any time (see the “Your Rights” section).

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:

• Service providers — such as cloud hosting and our payment gateway, who process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
• Third-party retailers — when you choose to follow a shopping link, your interaction with that retailer is governed by their own privacy policy.
• Legal & safety — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and CoreStyl.

We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Raw uploaded photos are not retained beyond the analysis session unless you save them. We delete or anonymise your data when it is no longer needed, when you delete your account, or when you withdraw consent and there is no other lawful basis to retain it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to address any security incident in line with applicable law.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request erasure of your personal data;
• withdraw your consent at any time;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity; and
• raise a grievance about how we handle your data.

To exercise any of these rights, use the controls in the App or contact our Grievance Officer (see below). Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and may mean we can no longer provide certain features.

The App is intended only for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it and close the account.

Your personal data is processed on servers used to operate the App. Where any data is stored or processed outside India, we will do so only as permitted under applicable law and with appropriate safeguards in place.

The App may use analytics tools and similar technologies to understand how the App is used and to improve it. These collect technical and usage information as described in the “Information We Collect” section. Where required, we will seek your consent before using non-essential analytics.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email before they take effect, and we will update the “Last updated” date above.
